Is There a Psychiatric Term to Define her Condition?

Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) spoke before an audience in Sarasota FL Sunday and is quoted by the St. Petersburg Times as saying the following:

“I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, ‘Are you going to start listening to me here?’ Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we’ve got to rein in the spending.”

Does Michele Bachmann truly believe God caused the east coast earthquake and hurricane for the sole purpose of getting the politicians attention because we’re overspending?
Hurricane Irene left 18 dead bodies from Puerto Rico to Connecticut, left an estimated four million homes and businesses without power, caused an estimated $3 billion in damage (according to Kinetic Analysis Corporation) and left widespread flooding from one end of the coast to the other, yet this woman is suggesting this devastation is due to God wanting to get the attention of our politicians over spending?
Is this simply a ploy to get her name in the paper or does this woman actually believe the words coming out of her mouth?
